Mick Jones plays 'Should I Stay or Should I Go' at CHELSEA space

After helping CHELSEA space at the opening for Shelagh Cluett: Sculpture 1977-1980, Ade Sabini will now be looking forward to getting back to Mick Jones who will be performing with the Gorillaz at London’s O2 on 14th and 16th November as part of a world tour which also takes in Birmingham, Manchester, Berlin, Paris, Antwerp, Hong Kong and Australia with more dates to come.

CHELSEA space was very lucky to catch Mick for our 5th year anniversary celebrations aptly titled Should I Stay Or Should I Go (curated by Elene Crippa, Hana Noorali and Lynton Talbot) which got underway during his initial time with the Gorillaz. Mick made a special poster to celebrate our anniversary, showed a new part of The Rock & Roll Public Library in CHELSEA space, did an interview with Paul Gorman as part of Late at Tate Britain and during the same period CHELSEA space’s Donald Smith curated the Rock & Roll Public Library with Crispin Chetwynd at the Gallery at Norwich University of the Arts where Mick travelled with Donald for a fantastic day with the Norwich students.

The last time we saw Mick at CHELSEA space was for the opening of Paul Gorman’s Process: The Working Practices of Barney Bubbles where he met up with the likes of Jerry Dammers and Jake Riviera. We wish Mick and the Gorillaz well with the world tour and are looking forward to seeing him again at CHELSEA space in the near future.
